About greenremodel.net
This site is for homeowners who might be contemplating anything from new paint to a complete house remodel, who want to learn about practical "green" options. Lots of chatter out there about "going green" and "reducing the size of our carbon footprint," but, what does that mean, really? What is a green remodel? Is green remodeling more expensive? Can it really lower operating costs? What about resale value?
We're here to help you answer some of those questions, with useful articles
and other resources for ideas, materials
and methods. We've even included a greenbuilding glossary
to help you wade through the jargon you might encounter on your quest for
greater greenness. We're a work in progress so we invite you to check back
often.
We're The Boomerville Press, a web-based publishing enterprise in beautiful Athens, Georgia, home to the University of Georgia and a growing arts, music and business-friendly community of about 100,000 located about an hour east of Atlanta.
We also publish:
ranchrevival.com,
a site devoted to the interests of owners of ranch style houses, old and
new.
wisewateruse.net, a site for advice and resources for homeowners affected
by drought, those who live in arid conditions, and those who just want a
little information on how to save water (and money off their water bills)
in the hot, dry summer months.
